JWA football achieve finals success

Mr Payne: On Monday the 9/10 girls’ team beat OAW 8-0 in the U15 girls final. Mr O Mara & Mrs Sowerby were super proud of them for their resounding victory and overall teamwork! Superb effort from them all!

Tonight it was the Y10 boy’s team’s turn, retaining their titles from Y8 & Y9 with a 2-2 draw and nerve wracking 8-7 sudden death penalty shootout out win. Special mention to keeper Josh Gale for saving a penalty and scoring one! Riley Chalk took the winning penalty. Myself, Mr Ward & Mr Harris were over the moon with their determination and resilience.
