Uniform Changes September 2017

25th May 2017

A Delta Academies trust-wide uniform is to be introduced into all seconadary academies from September 2017 we are publishing this online to inform you of how this will be rolled out at JWA.

When a decision is taken to change any aspect of academy uniform, we consider foremost the impact of any costs to parents and carers.

Firstly, it is important to inform you that Uniform Direct will no longer supply our unfirm at the end of this academic year. Our official trust uniform suppliers will be SPT Uniforms who are based in Leeds.

Delta Academies Trust have a large number of academies, spanning from West Yorkshire to The Humber region. The location of our supplier is of no significance, since we will be launching an online click and collect service this will be establishing an on-site uniform shop.

Please note the following for September 2017 onwards:

  • The current JWA tie will be replaced with a trust-wide tie: this will be provided to all students in the first instance. FREE OF CHARGE. Replacement ties must be purchased by parents/carers at a cost of £4.99 per tie.
  • students who are currently in year 7-10 will not be expected to purchase a new delta badged blazer for september. They may continue to wear their current JWA blazer until it needs replacing. However, should you wish to purchase a new Delta badged blazer, this is entirely at your discretion and cost.
  • Parents/carers maintain the flexibility to purchase white shirts and blouses from a supplier of their choice.
