On the 11th and 12 of July John Whitgift students participated in a series of taster sessions at Franklin College centered around around Maths, English, History, Law, Physics and Bio-Chemistry. In the Maths and Physics sessions students looked at the big bang theory, English focused on developing creative writing skills, History & Law looked at the Jack the Ripper case and Bio-Chemistry saw students solving a real CSI case of murder!
Martin Priestley, Head of Biology and Chemisty was highly complimentary about our students saying how well they conducted themselves and was impressed with their "good co-operation and enthusiasm". He said "it was a pleasure to have them at Franklin. Some of them came out with some very intuitive and logical ideas and I hope some of them will join us to do A levels in Biology and Chemistry". It was an enjoyable and engaging day for all!
